Ed McMahon about to lose his home

Ed McMahon, the once popular sidekick of the infamous Johnny Carson ‘The Tonight Show’ is facing foreclosure on his Beverly Hills mansion.

McMahon has been going back and forth with mortgage brokers to figure out how to pay $644,000 in back payments on a $4.8 million mortgage loan. The six-bedroom house has been in the market since 2006 but a recent reduction has not attracted a single buyer.

His financial troubles started when he suffered a broken neck about a year and a half ago. In the past, he was touring around the country public speaking about his days with Johnny Carson.

You see this all the time on how celebrities get in financial trouble. I know it can happen to the best of us, but you’d think with the kind of money celebrities make nowadays they would learn to invest and grow their nest egg.

Trista Sutter - Bachelorette new hit reality on the works

I was never into the whole Bachelor reality show much less the spin-off The Bachelorette. But it seems Trista and Ryan Sutter, who were married after meeting on the hit reality show The Bachelorette, are reportedly in talks with Martha Stuart to get their own TV reality series.

According to reports, they are hashing out the details to work on some sort of fixure upper show. It is safe assume it will be similar to shows like Flip this house, Flip THAT house, and the ever so popular show Trading Spaces. Which by the way, started this whole flipping trend.

People these days are so drawn into these types of reality shows. Even more so if the host of the show is a celebrity. I think ireason we like to watch is because we want to see if they a chance to actually make it, or they completly flop.

Well - there is only one way to know if Trista and Ryan’s new series will flip or flop. Be on the look out for their up and coming tv series coming to a cable television network near you.

Mexico - Drunk driver crashes into bike race

A car smashes into a bike race along a highway near the US-Mexico border, killing one and injuring 14 others.

According to Police investigators, Juan Campos, 28, was apperently drunk and fell asleep when his car jumped over the curb and crashed into the race.

He was immediately attained by local authorities and was charged with killing Alejandro Alvarez, 37, of Monterrey.

The locoal authorities say the wreck happened 15 minutes into the race along a highway between Playa Bagdad and Matamoros.

Fired Flip Saunders - Pistons looking for new Head Coach

Well it’s official. Pistons head coach Flip Saunders is out of a job. After taking the Pistons to two Eastern Conference Finals in the last three years, Dumars decided to go a different direction.

“Decisions like this are difficult to make, especially with the success we have had throughout the last three regular seasons,” Joe Dumars, president of basketball operations for the Pistons, said in a statement. “However, at this time, I feel it is necessary to make a change.”

Although there seems to be a few vacancies in the league, Saunders might not have a hard time finding his next coaching gig. His proven record of 176-70 with the Pistons has shown he can take any team and make them into title contenders, but the lack of getting past the conference finals should raise some eyebrows. It will be something that most teams who are looking to contend now instead of 3-5 years from now won’t work to his favor.

Lakers-Spurs crucial game 3

The San Antonio Spurs have been down this road before. And we don’t have to look too far to know how it all went down against the New Orleans series. When the Spurs went down 2-0, everyone thought they were finished, but they manage to dug themselves out of a hole and turned it around to win all their home games and take one on the road to win the series.

But now they are playing the Los Angeles Lakers. A Lakers team that swept the weeping Nuggets and teased the Jazz into thinking they could win and beat young and inexperienced team. But all the Lakers did was show everyone they can win on the road and beat a team that had the best home record in the league.

The Lakers had a 20-point come from behind in the third quarter to steal the game opener 89-85. A game the Spurs felt they should have won. Kobe Bryant and the Lakers came in with an aggressive mindset in Game 2 and it showed, beause they never trailed - only three times in their last four playoff games that happened.

“We’re confident we’re a very good home team, but you hate to put yourself in a position where you’re down 0-2,” said Tim Duncan, who had 12 points and 16 rebounds. “One of two things is going to happen - either we’re going to turn it around and make this thing into a series or we’re not. We are going to go home and try and change the tide of it.”

Turn it around they must if they want to extend the series and take it back to the Staples Center. A crucial Game 3 (Today) and Game 4 will be played in San Antonio, where the Spurs are perfect 6-0 in this playoff season and have won 20 of their last 22 games.

“The old adage is you just won the games on your home court, which is the important part, and extended the series to six games,” said Phil Jackson. “We know that. Now, nothing happens until we win on their court. And someone wins on the other team’s court.”

History shows only 14 of the 222 teams to lose the first two games in a best-of-seven NBA playoff series have come back to win, including the Spurs in their second-round matchup with the Hornets. But this will prove to be a much tougher assignment - San Antonio has to be almost perfect at home and steal a game at Staples Center, where the Lakers are 7-0 and have won 13 straight.

“I hope the best is yet to come,” said Odom. “Right now, we have the mentality that we’re striving for perfection, so every game that we play, we feel like we can play better. Tonight we played well, but we want to continue to get better.”

“I blame myself for these two losses,” said Ginobili. “It should be 1-1. My mind is not fatigued. I need to step up. It will be different in Game 3.”

Game 3 no doubt will see a much better San Antonio team. But will the Lakers lay low, or will they come out in full force and stun this frantic San Antonio team. It’s the Western Confernce Finals - win or face elimination.
